Must have makeup and beauty products

Image

I have compiled a small selection of products that i love, some i have used for ages others are new to my collection, also the bag in the picture my boyfriends lovely mother brought back from sri lanka for me and it has quickly become my new carry all.

Bioderma Sensibio h20 (formally crealine)

i have found this is the perfect cleanser for my own face and my makeup kit. It brags to be suitable for all skin types including the most sensitive, effectively removing impurities and makeup while maintaining the cutaneous balance.

Basically this stuff rules and if your prone to break outs or laziness i highly suggest picking this up.

it looks and feels like water with no smell, leaves no residue on the face, and dissolves even MY evening makeup. There can be some pretty good deals on ebay sometimes or http://www.escentual.com sell the 500 ml for around £15.00, however if your in France you can grab it for a bit cheaper (bring an extra suitcase?… or 3).

Kinder to nature mucky mitts by Jackson Reece

A natural alternative to hand sanitizer and is aimed to be used on babies /small children. My son is 7 months old and when we’re out he touches EVERYTHING so this is handy for him too.

This is easy to use you just spray it on and rub it in. It looks like a pen and the top slides on to the pockets in my bag so its harder to lose amongst the sea of receipts and nappy sacks.

I found this on sale at sainsburys for £1 so pretty much a steal!

NYX round lipstick in tea rose

This is the prettiest pink ever in fact the whole range is gosh darn amazing, especially for the price. Creamy in consistency and just as good a staying power of any other lipstick i have tried. Tea rose looks expensive on and is incredibly wearable.

The bottom has the actual colour of the lippy so its easy to find. NYX have a fantastic range of affordable makeup i cannot recommend them enough! go to http://www.nyxcosmetics.co.uk and pick up this lipstick for £3.50 but note they do charge shipping so it is worth picking up a few extras.

Yves St Laurent volume effect faux cils mascara.

For the longest time i was using L’Oreal millionaire lash mascara just accepting the fact that i had crap lashes and there was nothing to be done about it.

I have to mention that i am so tight when it comes to certain products and mascara is one of them. its like urgh even £10 seems a lot to spend on something that I’m going to have to replace in a few months so you can imagine i was having a very good day when i purchased this guy who retails at £23.50

Faux cils thickens lengthens separates and coats every single lash on my eyes no word of a lie this stuff is astonishing a perfect formula that is not to wet, certainly not to dry, and never clumps my lashes together. (i’m talking no good eye bad eye scenario here.) I will hunt for a cheaper price so i can have this in my bag indefinitely.

Urban decays primer potion

I wear this everyday eyeshadow or no eyeshadow. It stops my under eye concealer creasing, my lids look even and matte all day. When used with eyeshadow this stuff will really keep it on 24 hours no problem. Primer potion will always remain in my kit as it is silicone based and perfect for all eyes.

** I’m just going to drop in here though that this is not a concealing primer and it will not provide any coverage because that is not what it is made for nor claims to be.

£14.50 will get you the full size tube and the promise of perfectly ironed out lids! go to debenhams or house of fraser online to order.

DR Jart+ regenerating bb (beauty balm) spf 30

this says

-alcohol free moisturizer

-promotes cell regeneration

– sunscreen

coverage of redness and spots

Skeptical is not even the word to describe how i felt about bb creams. My skin has pigmentation around my cheeks is pretty much transparent and grey with no foundation on and under eye circles? psshh don’t even go there girlfriend.

Boots had this at half price so i just gave in and decided to see what the big deal was. I cannot believe what i saw this baby cover. I’m in awe at how this works.

Although it looks light this blends in perfectly to my face but my body is a bit darker so i warm it up with a tiny amount of foundation then continue on with my bronzer etc It lasts all day, looks like skin, covers problem areas, and doesn’t transfer onto my phone!

It contains snail secretion filtrate which yes is kind of gross but does give me satisfaction when my boyfriend kisses my cheek especially if he has peed me off that day. Do not even think about wearing this if you intend on having a flash photo taken of yourself because you will look like a ghost with all that spf going on.

From left to right UD eye primer, DR Jart+, regenerating bb cream, Chanel de soleil fluide, NYX round lipstick in tea rose, and Sleek blusher in flushed.

Sleek blusher in the shade flushed.

I actually bought this by mistake thinking it was slightly redder in tone but when i got it home it was more of a pinky berry shade and looks really pretty on (think bridal). All of sleeks blushers are uber pigmented and the colour range is great. The price is even better at under £5.00 a blush available in superdrug and at http://www.sleekmakeup.com

chanel soleil tan fluide

This is just a sample. I wanted to try this before shelling out £34.00 for the full size. This is a thing a beauty people! it is divine and is worth the 4.8 stars it got on makeup alley. A very radiant sheen not a glittery or sparkly affair. Blends in like a dream with a superb dewy finish. If you have the need and the money get this you will not regret it.

Shu uemura 24 carot gold eyelash curlers

Apart from the fact these are magnificent to look at they get the job done, the mushroom shape of the pad aides in safety and if you’ve ever had your lashes pinched by a curler you wouldn’t be put off by the £20.00 price tag. If you pay for quality you wont need to pay for quantity or something along those lines.

Have you tried any of these products? Any suggestions of things to try?

Thank you for reading,

El xx
