My Spring flings

Hello my fellow beauty buffs and lipstick lovers, I hope you are all well. These past couple of days have been so lovely outside it would have been criminal to stay cooped up so me and my mini me have been out and about hence why I haven’t posted. The blossom is on the trees, the color palette has changed outside and it’s really got me excited for the coming spring!

ImageRevlon highlighting palettes in Rose Glow and Bronze glow (£8.99 each), Revlon Colorburst glosses in Sizzle and Strawberry (£7.99 each)Revlon Colorstay polish in Sunburst (£7.99 each).

Orange is the shade of the season along with a bronzed glow and i don’t care what any catwalk or magazine says, a bit of sparkle is always on trend for me. I felt in the mood for a lipgloss as opposed to a lipstick plus I already own the Super Saturated lipstick in Punch Drunk should my mood change which is likely.

The truth is they aren’t far off atall although having used the bb shimmer bricks I personally think shimmer bricks are a creamier powder, better pay off, and have more of a selection but does this justify the massive price difference? I’ll leave that to you.

I actually really like both of these palettes and will be alternating between the two this week they do have a lovely radiance to them not a cheap bitty finish as might be expected.  I can see these being a great multi tasker as well, using “Bronze Glow” for a sun kissed décolletage and the top of “Rose Glow” for champagne highlight on the bridge of the nose and eyelids.

A really good way to use this trending color for those not so sure of bright lips is to wear said color on the nails. This deep orange from revlon is spicy and warm so very wearable. This is the first time I’ve used the Colorstay formula and so far its lasted 7 nappy changes 1 sink of washing up and a very hot shower also it dried quite quickly which is a big bonus!

I’m waiting for that first really sunny day of the year;  you know the one, where you can roll the windows down in the car and it’s socially acceptable to eat an ice lolly outside… because on that day I’m going to put on my Sugar Pill Goldilux eyeshadow, lashings of mascara, and this Revlon lipgloss in sizzle. As far as lip glosses go this is fairly opaque “Sizzle” should be on everyones wish list this spring!

“Strawberry ” is a shade similar to my own lips just more pink and extremely glittery so if you’re not really loving this orange trend it could be a great alternative for a splash of natural color that sparkles. These are a tad sticky but thats not really something that bothers me, they kind of feel like the MAC Pro Long Wear Glasses on if that gives you an idea of texture.

So here are my first spring purchases. Anyone else loving these things?
